Task one:
Harper Lee prepares us readers for the verdict through a tension in the courtroom. ‘The feeling grew until the atmosphere in the courtroom was exactly the same as a cold February morning’. This quotation is very strong because cold can relate to a silent morning. This shows the tension in the courtroom was going on for a while as it was very silent
