In my activity for the class, I will make some cards with the main points from the book and film. Then I will put the set of cards on each table but muddled up. All they have to do is is to rearrange them into chronological order and also they will have to explain more about what happened after the point they have got.

I will plan more on it at home and get all the cards ready for the allocated day.

Your task is to identify the metaphor present in the following excerpt and then write a paragraph that explains the metaphor and its effect on the meaning of the passage it is embedded in.

TUESDAY NIGHT.

ON TUESDAY NIGHT, JULIET IS PRESSURED TO MARRY PARIS BUT SHE DON’T WANT TO AS SHE IS IN LOVE AND MARRIED ROMEO ALREADY. SO FRIAR LAWRENCE HAD A PLAN UP HIS SLEEVE. HE SAID THAT SHE SHOULD DRINK THIS POTION SO SHE LOOKS LIKE SHE IS DEAD ON THE MORNING OF THE WEDDING WHAT WAS REARRANGED AGAIN TO WEDNESDAY. BUT WHEN HER PARENTS AND HER NURSE LAY HER IN HER TOMB, BECAUSE THEY THINK THAT SHE IS DEAD, FRIAR LAWRENCE WILL TELL ROMEO THAT SHE IS GOING TO WAKE UP SOON AND THAT SHE WILL BE ALL YOURS IF YOU ARE THERE WHEN SHE WAKES UP.

LATE TUESDAY NIGHT.

JULIET WAS IN HER BEDROOM WITH HER NURSE GETTING HER THINGS READY FOR THE WEDDING BUT SHE ASKS NURSE IF SHE CAN LEAVE SO SHE CAN THINK FORWARD FOR THE BIG DAY SO NURSE DOES. BUT WHEN SHE LEAVES, JULIET TAKES THE DEEP SLEEPING POTION AND FALLS ASLEEP ON HER BED.

EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING.

AT THREE O’CLOCK, NURSE GOES INTO HER BEDROOM TO WAKE HER UP TO GET DRESSED INTO HER WEDDING DRESS BUT WHEN SHE WALKS IN, SHE FINDS JULIET LAYING ON HER BED WITH STIFF JOINTS, COLD, AND WITH HER MOUTH WIDE OPEN.
